What Kindergarten Looks Like
In kindergarten, students begin building the foundation for a classical education. This is the earliest grammar stage, where children thrive on structure, routine, and the joy of discovering the world around them.

A classical kindergarten emphasizes living books read aloud, narration (students retell what they heard), nature study, handwriting practice, and structured phonics — rather than screens, worksheets, and standardized test prep. At Saints Classical, kindergartners also learn hymns, Scripture memory, and the foundations of Latin vocabulary through songs and chants.
