Rhetoric Program

Saints Classical Academy - Spring Hill, TN

The rhetoric program at Saints Classical Academy teaches high school students to express truth persuasively through writing, public speaking, and debate. Combined with STOA speech and debate, rhetoric is the culmination of the classical trivium.

What Is Rhetoric?

Rhetoric is the art of persuasion - the ability to communicate truth clearly, beautifully, and convincingly. It is the final stage of the classical trivium, building on the grammar stage (knowing things) and the logic stage (thinking about things).

In the rhetoric stage, students learn to express what they know and think in ways that move people. This is not manipulation - it is the responsible use of language in service of truth.
