What is the Tutorial Model?
In the tutorial model, students attend classes on campus two to three days per week and complete assigned work at home on the remaining days. Professional teachers provide instruction, assessment, and guidance, while parents supervise the home days and support their children's learning.
This model differs from full-time private school, where students are on campus five days a week, and from pure homeschooling, where parents provide all instruction. The tutorial model is a hybrid that draws on the strengths of both approaches.
At Saints Classical, our tutorial students receive the same classical curriculum as our full-time students. They participate in the same trivium-based instruction, read the same great books, and are held to the same academic standards. The difference is in the schedule and the division of responsibility between school and home.
